About Us

Meet Mollie

Mollie Bradlee is a policy wonk, writer, and Aries apologist residing in Denver, Colorado.

She has over a decade in public sector leadership experience, most recently as Chief Policy Officer for Colorado’s Department of Human Services. In this role, she was in charge of ensuring the successful implementation of the department’s policy agenda, including oversight of supporting teams in project and performance management. Prior to this position, she served as Deputy Director and Interim Director of Colorado’s Office of Children, Youth and Families, where she spearheaded a $26 million initiative to strengthen treatment for youth with acute behavioral health needs. She previously held roles at the White House Office of Management and Budget, Domestic Policy Council, and the Pew Charitable Trusts.

Her bread and butter is distilling complex issues into solvable problems, but also, she really likes bread and butter. When she isn’t solving policy puzzles, she spends her time writing romantic comedies.

What Laura says about Mollie: I’ve had the honor of reading Mollie’s writing – and therefore getting front-row-seat to her ideas – for over a decade. And let me tell you, few people possess her ability to not only synthesize vast gobs of information, but also make it entertaining and easy to consume. Mollie combines keen insightfulness with a healthy serving of direct communication and a dollop of grace and empathy. She’s someone you want peering into the challenges you’re facing, game-planning the way forward with you, and cheering you on for years to come.

Meet Laura

Laura Guzmán is a practical dreamer equally at home distilling complex information and guiding tough conversations with calm.

She helps teams cut through the noise (you know the kind: the vague strategies, bloated processes, and “culture” work that forgets about humans) with conviction. Over the past 14 years, she’s led executive strategy and communications at DevGlobal and The Engine Room, steered projects funded by NASA, the Gates Foundation, and the Ford Foundation, supported tech-and-society initiatives at Open Society Foundations, and consulted independently on strategy and communications.

She’s currently based in Portland, Oregon, and serves on the board of Wonderfolk, a local youth leadership nonprofit. Her idea of fun includes reading dense books on post-capitalist futures, teaching her dog highly impractical tricks, and disappearing into the Sierra with a very dialed snack system.

What Mollie says about Laura: The amount of knowledge Laura retains could fill several galaxies, yet she somehow manages to cram it into one woman’s brain! She has the uncanny ability to be the smartest person in the room without making anyone feel “less than,” and her empathy, warmth, and humor foster instant relationships with the people she meets. Laura can explain sweeping theories in one beat and break down tiny interactions in the next, and you’ll leave every interaction with her feeling better, smarter, and more inspired.

Enough about us — let’s tackle your challenges.
